The ASM-2 from Nady is a compact and lightweight analog sound pressure level meter that allows you to measure audio loudness practically anywhere. The meter has a built-in 0.5" omnidirectional electret condenser microphone that lets you measure audio in 7 ranges between 50dB and 126dB at frequencies from 32Hz to 10kHz. The meter has a VU meter for quick and easy readouts.
The meter offers selectable A or C weighting, plus fast or slow response. It has a phono-type output jack, allowing you to connect the meter to home theater or test equipment. The meter operates on a single 9V battery that provides up to 110 hours of life. An internal battery tester lets you double-check your remaining power. A threaded insert lets you attach the meter to a standard camera tripod.
