Nady PM-100 overview

  • 1Description

The PM-100 from Nady is a compact and durable personal stage monitoring speaker ideal for traveling musicians. The speaker features a pair of 5" ferrofluid drivers with a peak power handling capability of 200W to offer clear, powerful sound with high SPL levels and low distortion. The speaker has a uniquely tuned response that delivers audio at frequencies that will cut through stage noise to reach the performer and reduce feedback.

The speaker has dual 1/4" I/O connectors, allowing you to connect to a variety of sound devices and systems, as well as daisy-chain up to 15 additional monitors. A volume/impedance selector lets you adjust the speaker to perfectly match your system and application. The speaker can be positioned at 4 different angled for optimum placement, and also has an integrated mount so you can attach it to a speaker stand.

    Nady PM-100 reviews

PM-100 5" Nearfield Personal Stage Monitor Speaker is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from PM-100 does the job well We are not a particularly loud trio, but there were times when we couldn't clearly hear the guitar or vocals. We didn't want obtrusive floor monitors, so I thought we'd give these a try. They work very well considering the size and weight. No need to purchase the Mic stand adaptor. We just removed the lock nut from a mic stand and the monitors slip right on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not perform as expected Well, perhaps I expected too much out of this, but this speaker did not perform up to my expectations. I use this speaker in combination with a Peavey MP-600 Amp and Peavey PR10 Speakers for my church. When I use the Nady alone, the sound appears muffled, even though it appears to have the same reach as the Peaveys. I can still hear even at the back of the church, but the clarity is not quite the same. As this speaker is at the stage, I did not hear any difference when using it along with the PR10s or using it alone. I had hoped to get an enhancement of the vocals by having this additional speaker. This did not happen. By the way, I had to turn the impedance knob completely the other way (clockwise) to get the max sound, and again, that sound is muffled. I wanted to get two of these, but with the performance this speaker has given, I will have to go another route to get my desired sound. We won't do away with the speaker, as it does not hurt anything, it just doesn't help either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I used this product for small group choir. The product is great because of its size, it is very easy to carry around. The thing that are not so great about the product is the volue knob ajustment at the back. Too tight to switch.
