With a natural, earth-tone aesthetic and sophisticated technology, the Yamaha TSX-140 Desktop Audio System reinvents the traditional clock radio. It's highlighted by an integrated iPod dock, CD player and AM / FM tuner. It has a USB port, AUX 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack and features Yamaha's IntelliAlarm technology. The 15W, full range speakers and digital amplifier yield ultra-clear, authentic audio and produce sufficient volume for a desktop system.
The iPod dock is compatible with multiple generations of iPhone, iPod classic, iPod touch and iPod nano. It's fully digital, which limits unwanted noise and distortion and when the TSX-140 is connected to a computer via USB, you can sync your iPod or iPhone to iTunes directly from the dock.
The TSX-140 also includes a CD player, tuner with ten station presets, USB port and AUX input. The CD-player is compatible with audio CD, MP3 and WMA formats. The USB port and AUX input allow connection with MP3 players as well as computers and any other audio source with a USB or line output.
The sound quality of the TSX-140 is outstanding. It features twin 3.1" full range speakers with bass-reflex ports. The Extended Stereo technology produces an exceptionally large audio field and quality construction limits unwanted resonance. It works by limiting the disturbing high-frequencies when the alarm first goes off, letting you wake gradually. After the initial, less-intrusive alarm, the higher frequencies are added until you hear the full audio spectrum.
