    METRO DataVac ED-500-220V reviews

DataVac Electric Duster 500 (220V) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from great but smells terrible I think it does what it promises to do and is really a good alternative to air clean cameras etc. I wouldn't use it for keyboards like so many other people do cause you can do that-in my eyes-better with a vacuum cleaner. why blow the dust everywhere when you can suck it up!? but for equipment its great, saves a lot on bottles. bottles of course are practical when you are travelling and on the job. Big disadvantage is that it really smells bad, underneath is some sort of filter, ugh, i hope it goes away in time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, this thing almost blew me away Awesome. Its not the same as dedicated pressurised air from a compressor, but still highly effective for dusting off computers, and keyboards. Its also quite good for cleaning my bike, although it does not have the power nor pressure pressurised air would have. The only advantage canned air has are small confined spaces such as small gaps, because here the DataVac is simply too large and the airflow not concentrated enough to be effective. Keyboards however are no problem for the DataVac.Another downside: Its noisy (roughly like a Dyson vacuum cleaner).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How to clean your PC quickly, here it is This is great solution for people who take care of their electronics, especially PC, u can very quickly and securely clean your PC. It has several nozzles so u can reach every spot u need, even if it's very narrow. The cable quality is very good, the Duster itself is simple to use and save. The power is enough to fight with hurricane, and for such little thing it is unbelievable. I hope this review will be helpful :) P.S. I was searching for such thing for a long time and finally I've found it, highly recommend to all who needs it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TOXIC blower This is a very powerful unit for blowing off dust from desired areas, such as computer boards and fans that are full of dust. However, it turns my office into a mini Superfund site. IT smells very toxic and I can only imagine what kind of carcinogenic volatile compounds are being emitted. I thought the sickening toxic smell would go away after a few uses. It has not. Why would this even be an issue? What the hell are they making this out of? I decided to burn off the gases. I plugged it in outdoors and left if on and went back to my computer for 20 minutes. When I went back to it and smelled the 'exhaust' it still was smelling like volatile organic compounds. I thought it would be a good replacement for Dust OFF products by Falcon. It is not. I am going back to Dust OFF. At least I won't feel like I'll get cancer from using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Singaporean buyer here Have gotten this with shipping a few years back for 86usd (120sgd). Canned air goes for around 10 sgd cheapest here so another 6 yrs or so this investment would have been worth it as I dust my family's desktop yearly. Definitely stronger than canned air, without the need to wait for canister air recharge. Useful to keep one at home to dust electrical appliances. Just be careful to hold the fans to prevent damages as they might exceed their rpm limit when dusting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product Use it to clean my computer hardware with no problems, easy to use. It's quite portable and wire is long enough. Great product will recommend to friend. It can get too hot if long usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleaning is a breeze I use this to clean all the AV equipment in the live stream studio and since dust collects often regular air compressors can get expensive and tend to get replaced often. This cleaner helped solved that problem. The only thing make sure you have outlet to plug this into or an extension cord readily available. This duster is also lound so make sure to warn people before using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some serious power! After opening the package my first thought was how powerful could this thing be, considering it's small form. And after powering it up, my only thought was how can something so small manage to blow so much wind! Came with a few handy attachments for various tasks and the power cord is long enough for most chores. Build quality is as good as you would hope for. Thanks B&H!
