Nady CM 100 Overview

The CM 100 Reference Measurement Microphone from Nady is a linear electret-condenser microphone designed for use with real-time analyzers for critical and accurate alignment applications such as room acoustics corrections. In addition, it can be used for detailed recording of acoustic guitars and vocals.

The omnidirectional capsule is powered by 48V phantom power and delivers high sensitivity, minimal self-noise, and a wide dynamic range. The 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response captures precise measurements and transparent recordings naturally.

Built with rugged construction, the CM 100 Reference Measurement Microphone features an internal shockmount to help shield the mic from vibrations and includes a foam windscreen for outdoor applications and a mic stand clip with a 5/8" to 3/8" adapter for easy mounting.

A true, symmetric omni-directional pattern, high sensitivity, minimal self-noise, wide dynamic range, high-SPL capability, and an extremely smooth, linear 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response provide extremely precise measurements and transparent recordings
For use with real-time analyzers for precise, accurate room acoustics alignments
Ideal for highly effective, detailed recording of acoustic guitars and vocals
Rugged construction, a gold-plated XLR connection, and an internal-assembly shockmount provide maximum reliability
Includes foam windscreen for outdoor applications and mic stand clip (including 5/8" to 3/8"" adapter)

Great little RTA Microphone

This did exactly what I expected it to do. After looking at the frequency response chart, and playing pink noise at 93dB SPL, everything matched up perfectly. The price was a great plus as well. I would totally recommend.

$ Mic for $

I have been a sound engineer for over 20 years, and I purchased this mic to use with Smart Live v7 in order to tune concert sound systems. I was very leery of this mic because of the cheap cost. I read the reviews and thought, For $ bucks, I'll take a chance and just see. I really didn't expect it to be very accurate. I set the CM100 right next to an Earthworks M30 ($ retail) and took measurements. The graphs were identical. I am extremely impressed with this mic. I plan to buy several more just to have. I would highly recommend this mic to anyone.

I bought this mic to take some room measurements and make some acoustic decisions about my studio. It worked flawlessly and captured every frequency clearly. Good enough to make EQ adjustments in my room and allowing my mixes to sound better everywhere. Highly recommended

Very usable mic! A poor man's Earthworks! This is a measurement mic for calibration purposes but can be a very useful omni mic

This microphone is a great choice for measuring room acoustics! At this price it's a steal for how it performs.

We love this device ... have been using it with our NTI XL2 audio analyzer on jobs ... works like a charm with no noticable difference from our original NTI mic (which unfortunately developed feet),

A Good Budget Reference Mic

This is a good budget reference mic suitable for many uses (audio/video studios, home theater, etc.). It's also a fair to midlin' general purpose omni mic. Only 4 stars because there is no calibration file available for it. If you need a budget mic with a calibration file, the Behringer ECM8000 is a good choice but the Nady CM100 has slightly better signal to noise specs.
