The 49mm Black Diffusion FX 1/4 Filter from Tiffen is a soft focus filter that diffuses without making your subject look as if he's been filtered. It is excellent for eliminating blemishes and delivering smooth, flattering skin tones. Virtually no highlight flare is generated. The overall image remains sharp with eyes clear and bright - even in close-ups. The filter is manufactured with a special pattern that diffuses without generating a "fuzzy" appearance. The filter is available in various grades to suit your diffusion needs.

The 1/4 Black Diffusion F/X filter is the lowest grade this filter is available in. It brings minimal filtration to your image but will begin to mask facial blemishes. Skin tones will appear silkier and you will not notice any highlight flare.

Tiffen's ColorCore glass is produced through a process that entails permanently laminating the filter material in between two pieces of optical glass that are ground flat to tolerances of a ten-thousandth of an inch, then mounting them in precision aluminum rings.
