Lomography Redscale 35mm XR 50-200 Color Negative Film is unique in that it allows you to change the ISO setting for more creative images. This ability to move the exposure around creates some very different images.

Redscale film involves shooting the film from the reverse side of the emulsion. Generally, the blue emulsion is exposed first but with redscale film, it is the red layer that gets first crack at the light. This produces unusual color shifts. Depending on the film, colors produced can vary from orange to yellow or maroon.

Designed to re-cast your image in a sea of powerful and seriously intense red

35mm Redscale XR 50-200 Color Negative Film (Extended Range, 3 Rolls) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great film to have fun with. If you ever find yourself taking your personal photography to seriously just pop one of these rolls into a simple camera and go for a walk. I have only shot this film in plastic cameras so I got super red images which look very interesting. I will use it In my FM2 and rate the film at ISO 50 to get a normalish looking image except with a small boost in the red channel. This film is also great since you can change your ISO from shot to shot so it is also somewhat versatile in changing light. The only downside is that it is a little harder to load onto reels for developing since it is reversed film.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent film for unusual pictorial effects. Redscale film - reverse rolled film - gives color images a moody red tinted aura. A specialised use for sure, but one that produces often striking results with a pictorial quality to them. Lomography Redscale works perfectly in this role and it's a film I use repeatedly. Shorter exposure times bring out a dark red/orange hue with little other color in the mix (illustrated below), longer exposures bring out a wider range of tones including greens. Lots of fun to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can make your own but this save so much time I know one could buy and reroll their own film to be redscale, but at this price it is worth saving myself the time and effort. I also find it fairly predictable. Expose it at least 1 or 2 stops more than recommended for more interesting results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing film for an amazing price I put it in older Canon Sure Shots 38mm 2.8. It has a great range being able to switch the Iso for effect from 25-200. I do lots of double exposures with this film and they always come out great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Choices for your redscale This film is a great choice for making your photos seem antique or if you like shooting low speeds like 50 iso and you do not wish to use slide or B&W.
