PortaBrace WPC-3OR Reviews

Amazing Case!  Horrible Wheel Design

The case has amazing space for 2 tripods, 3 lights, and an ATOMOS Ninja V (about 85 lbs). Also support gear and a slider, but then it gets right up to 100 lbs. Bag holds together for years of torture with the airlines. I love this thing. However, rivets that hold on wheels gives out after about 2 flights and the wheels need to be redone with large washers and bolts. Poor wheel design, otherwise, love this bag. I purchase 1 a year, but they just don't make them like they used to, so looking for another option unless they fix the wheels.

Poor construction

For the price, and reputation of Porta-Brace, I was surprised how quickly this piece came apart. Within 2 weeks a bolt holding the wheelbase was bent and popped out.

question

I want to place all my gear -- including my Canon XA10 and Manfrotto MVT502AM tripod -- into one bag I can pull on wheels. I'll be shooting and interviewing by myself and don't want to lug multiple bags. Is this a suitable choice? Thanks.

This seems to be more than commodious for the gear you intend to carry. As a former motion picture camera assistant, I wish to caution that the all-in-one bag works only to and from location. Once on location, one bag is hard to move and it's always far away or in the way. I suggest you group the camera and the audio gear in separate bags in this big bag. This will allow you to work faster, be less awkward on set, as well as at your storage facility. It will allow you the flexibility of taking just the camera or the audio, etc, etc when taking the whole bag is a bad idea.
