Redrock Micro M3 Complete Package

The Redrock Micro M3 Complete Package brings together an almost exhaustive set of components that you need to achieve a cinematic look with an SD or HD videocamera and your choice of 35mm lens. All that's left is selecting a proper step ring for your camera and the right mount for your lens. Central to the bundle is the M3 Cinema Adapter, which attaches to the front of any videocamera and lets you shoot through any 35mm glass.

Included with this package are a pair of 18 in (46 cm) long 15mm steel iris rods, a power supply/charger, and an M3 Adjustable Base Plate (adjustable both horizontally and vertically), which accepts the rods and ships with 3/8" and 1/4" 20 camera screws.

But that's far from all. Also included with the Complete Package is Redrock's microMatteBox Deluxe Bundle. This puts together a microMatteBox wide shade, a 15mm lightweight (60mm) swing-away arm, two 360-degree rotating filter stages, two dual-purpose filter trays (which accept 4 x 4" and 4 x 5.65" filter sizes), one interchangeable matte, mounting hardware for the flag, a top eyebrow (French flag) with two adjustable side wings, and four neoprene donuts of varying diameters to fit your lens. (Diameters of openings are 51mm, 64mm, 76mm, and 102mm; additional sizes can be cut from supplied donuts if necessary.)

The microFollowFocus v2 features aluminum construction, a quick-release clamp, and a sliding connector that allows the follow focus to be adapted to a wide range of lens diameters. It's fully compatible with cinema lenses that have standard pitch gearing (0.8 mod 32). Accessories for the follow focus system are the microWhip bundle (3", 12", and 18" whips with Arri-style connector), a microSpeedCrank (Arri-style connector), and a set of four microLensGears to fit lens circumferences from 180-320mm.

There's additional hardware in the form of the microLensSupport (designed to prop up longer, heavier cinema lenses), a microPowerPod, and a Focus Stop, which is a strap that prevents camera zoom/focus. Finally, no Complete Package would deserve the name without the inclusion of a Redrock Cinematographer's Cap.
