The Altona 5x2 HD/SD-SDI Reclocking Switcher is designed to receive, equalize, and reclock SDI video signals in a variety of HD and SD formats and bit rates. Smoothly auto-detecting each incoming signal's resolution, the unit switches up to 5 HD/SD-SDI inputs into two SDI monitors or receivers, with control possible via the front panel input switch, included IR remote, or optional RS-232 controller. Additional features include NTSC/PAL switchability, synchronized BNC loop-out at both input and output, and cable equalization up to 500 ft (HD) and 1000 ft (SD).
By perfectly duplicating the chosen SDI input, the switcher provides two identical outputs, functioning as an SDI splitter. It offers the most convenient and cost-effective means for quick switching and duplication of high quality SDI in the market.
