The Cavision RQ1580R Reversed Version Quick Release Plate, Riser & Bracket is designed for smaller cameras (miniDV, HDV, and DSLR video cameras) with short lenses. The balance bracket fits 15mm rods (not included), and its vertically adjustable riser raises a camera to the appropriate height to accommodate accessories such as follow focus devices and matte boxes.

The aluminum camera plate has a quick-release function to enable a fast change in camera setup. The plate's unique locating pin enhances the RQ1580R assembly's stability.

The balance bracket has tripod connection threads for 1/4" and 3/8" screws, which makes it compatible with most professional and consumer tripods.

RQ1580R Reversed Version Quick Release Plate, Riser & Bracket is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cavision DSLR shoulder mount This whole Cavision shoulder mount for which I bought this riser, it's ok but not great. It's not easy to adjust and find the right position for your shoulder to be able to get some real shoulder support while getting the camera (7D/T2i) at the right height for your eye. Although every part of of the rig is adjustable, still not easy. The price used to be very competitive, but with a market that keeps growing and widening, not so much anymore since today you can find some really cool comparable products for under a 100 bucks. It's an option, but do your research first.
