    Polaroid PLKIT37WT reviews

Studio Series 37mm 2.2x Telephoto & 0.43x Wide Angle Lens Travel Kit is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good and Bad I purchased this set to add some fun and versatility to my Olympus OM-D and lenses. For the price I didn't expect world-class glass. I would say these lenses add a fun option to my shooting and met my expectations, but I had hoped for a bit more based on the product description. I've found them to be perfect for fun, artsy shooting. The result is akin to shooting with a Holga or Diana. I would not say they adequately replace a dedicated wide angle or long lens if you are looking for high image quality. The center is adequately sharp in each, but quickly looses acuity as you move toward the edges of the frame. There is significant barrel distortion on the .43x lens, but it is not really obtrusive in general use and cleans up well in Lightroom (+65 lens correction). The 2.2x has some pincushion distortion, but not as significant as the wide. These did not work with every lens I had. They are perfect on my 17mm f/2.8 and 25mm f/2.8 pancake primes, but did not allow correct focusing with the 45mm f/1.8. On the 14-42mm kit lens the wide lens shows significant vignetting from 14-17mm, but seems fine after that while the long works well at all focal lengths. While I have not measured or tested, based on experience I would say the 2.2x is really more of a 1.5x. These lenses are small. Really small. Stack the two of them together and they are about the same size as the 45mm f/1.8 - itself a pretty compact lens. They are no burden to carry. They feel nice in the hand and seem better built than the price would suggest.By design, the .43x unscrews and the smaller part becomes a close-up filter for very close focusing. To me, this is probably worth the price of the set by itself. If you are looking at these instead of a wide angle or long lens and want high quality images, this is not the product for you. However, if you want something small, low cost and FUN and like the artsy, Holga-esque look this is a perfect setup. I was very happy with these for photos of the kids playing in the yard, but I wouldn't shoot a paying job with them.In my rating, the set lost couple star because I feel the description suggested a higher image quality than it delivered. However, at this price the image quality is about what should be expected, so I still gave it a pretty decent rating as it delivers what is reasonable to expect. I feel that this set is worth the price as long as you have the right use and expectations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Used this with the Melamount Video Stabilizer Pro Multimedia Rig Case for iPad Air 2, there was so much tunneling, couldn't get a clear image at all... pass on these cheap options, NOT worth it! Get the better built options available here on BH

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for iPad We use these to magnify the cameras on our iPads. As a school, we started using iPads instead of messing with cd's and tapes to film events at school. These lenses have helped.
