With the built-in Snapshot feature, your data is protected from accidental deletion, making the UltraStor RS8 SS Enterprise RAID Storage System suitable for applications such as disk-to-disk backup, database pools, image acquisition, near line storage, and shared SAN networks. It allows dynamic storage expansion to be achieved using the new RS8 JS JBOD storage systems. In addition, dynamic on-line RAID expansion allows additional storage capacity to be added without shutting down the system.

It comes with channel 2 dual channel SAS ports and 1 single channel SAS expandable port, and features an embedded expansion port that helps reduce your total cost of ownership and protects your investment.
The web GUI (Graphical User Interface) allows you to remotely control various aspects of the storage system such as RAID level, volume and cache, over the internet. The "Quick Install" wizard enables quick and easy installation. The UltraStor RS8 SS Enterprise RAID Storage features a 2U low profile 19" (48.26 cm) rackmount, and an audible alarm that warns of component failures.
