Key Features
- Works With the Zoom H4N Recorder
- Connects Line Outputs to Mic Inputs
- Male 1/8" (3.5mm) Mini TRS to Mini TRS
- 1.8" (3.5mm) TRS Female Headphone Input
The Sescom LN2MIC-ZMH4-MON Line Out to Camera Mic In Headphone Tap Cable is designed to connect the line output of portable recorders, such as the Zoom H4N to the microphone inputs of compatible DSLR cameras (see compatibility chart below). The cable measures 18" in length, features male 1/8" (3.5mm) mini TRS connections, a female 1/8" (3.5mm) TRS input for headphone monitoring, and a -25dB level attenuation pad for "stepping down" line level audio, to microphone level. The cable is magnetically shielded which eliminates RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) noise from cell phones, PDA's, WIFI, etc.

This attenuator cable is -25 dB. Other cables are -35dB. What cable is more suitable for Tascam DR40, DR40X ?
If using this to connect a DR40 into a camera, the -25db cable would be fine to ensure a strong enough level into the preamp of the camera while not overloading it.

question
Does this work with a Panasonic GH3?
So long as the camera has a 3.5 mm input this will do its job. From memory some of the earlier gh line have 2.5 mm but that may be the gh2. either way you can pick up a 2.5 to 3.5 mm for a few dollars here or anywhere that sells audio cables. this cable simply reduces the line out from a recorder and turns it to a mic level. It works well and allows much better control and quality in your camera, i use it almost daily doing real estate videos.

question
Will this work to connect my Canon t4i to my Zoom H1? Need to be sure.
I use it to record audio from a zoom h4 straight into the memory card of a Canon 70D. The audio quality is better than what I get from the camera but not as good as the one I get from the zoom h4.

question
I would like to connect the audio output of the headphone jack of my JVC HM750 video camera into my GoPro camera. Is this the proper Headphone Tap Cable to do so or would you recommend another type of Headphone Tap Cable sold by B&H?
Hi, I believe that this would work to pass a mic-level signal to your GoPro. I have never used it for that purpose, but I think it would work.
