Leader LF52 Signal Level Meter
Key Features
  • Designed for ISDB-T Terrestrial Format
  • Broadcast/Cable/Satellite Field Device
  • Supports Both Digital and Analog Systems
  • RF Level, C/N, BER, MER Measurement
The Leader LF52 Signal Level Meter is a multi-function field-measurement device designed specifically for the ISDB-T terrestrial digital television format that's being implemented in the Philippines and South and Central America and is already in place in Japan. The reliable, accurate portable device contains a surprising number of robust analysis functions for a unit of its size and cost.

Supporting both analog and digital terrestrial broadcast systems, the meter is ideal for analyzing systems that are undergoing a transition from analog to digital. The LF52 also supports satellite and CATV RF signals. The device accepts 5 MHz - 870 MHz frequencies for digital terrestrial and 950 MHz - 2.6 GHz for satellite signals frequencies. Compatible with OFDM, COFDM, BPSK, QAM and other modulation formats, the LF52 measures RF level, carrier to noise level (C/N), BER, MER, and delay profile.

The LF52 device's STN monochrome LCD displays measurements as a simple spectral display or as a constellation pattern. Up to 200 presets can be stored and recalled. A measurement log is provided, and measurements can be output as comma-separated values for use in a spreadsheet. RS-232 control is possible, for data output, remote control, and for connection to a printer.

RS-232 control is possible, for data output, remote control, and for connection to a printer.

Provides auto-channel search for terrestrial and CATV
6x AA battery or AC power operation
Stores up to 200 measurements internally with level, C/N, BER, MER measurement of each channel, and the measurement time, with display format (CVS) data
CompactFlash Type I and II cards can be used to store measurement presets, measurement data (one file created per measurement), and BMP files of the measurement display screen. A maximum of 99,999 files can be stored, depending on the number of channel settings and the card's capacity
Measurement time interval can be between 1 and 999 in one-minute increments. Set the measurement start time and end time, and choose the number of measurement channels (from 1 to 200)
The data log function stores channel number, frequency, and level of each measurement channel for the digital terrestrial functions
For terrestrial systems, supported functions are level, BER, MER, C/N, constellation, delay profile, and spectrum display
For CATV systems, supported functions are level, BER, MER, constellation, spectrum display, and uplink
For broadcast/cable satellite systems, supported functions are level, BER, level & BER simultaneous measurements, MER, C/N, constellation, and 2.6 GHz
Built-in digital terrestrial channel table (VHF, UHF in Japan and Brazil)
