Thought they would be handy ,however they are bulky and slide on speed light,very little grip.

Worked great.  I wrapped it around my flash. It wrapped snugly and stayed in place the whole evening throughout the event, and I was able to attach the light modifier and take it off multiple times without a budge. And I did not have to stick anything sticky onto my flash. It did the job.

Didn't hold the softbox to my SB-900 without duct tape. Gravity could be to blame since I have a bracket attached to it as well.
