A versatile paper for general black and white enlargements, this box of 25 sheets of 8 x 10" Multigrade IV RC DeLuxe Paper from Ilford features a glossy 1M surface finish that is smooth and reflective in order to achieve noticeably deep black tones and a long tonal scale. Its bright white base tint delivers a cool-to-neutral image color, and it responds well to select toners, especially selenium, for increasing the effective print lifespan. As a variable contrast paper, it responds to seven full grades of contrast during printing, when using multigrade filters, and it is suitable for printing both conventional black and white negatives as well as chromogenic black and white negative films. Additionally, the paper can be processed using standard black and white chemistry in either trays or using machine processors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Over the moon happy I think that if you are a beginner in the dark room that this paper is exactly what you need. It allows you to experiment with all the different contrasts and filters and is overall amazing quality paper. BH got my paper to me quickly and (within three days) and was constantly around to answer any concerns or questions I had. If you need photopaper this brand is the absolute best, especially for the price if you only need a smaller amount of paper. Can't recommend this enough, great price for great paper!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Liked this paper, one complaint. I am new to fiber paper, having used only resin paper until now. I do find the fiber prints to have a richer tonality and I like the more naturally glossy finish. Drying flat, is of course more difficult. The only complaint I have is that the first box I bought was quite curled or waved upward. The paper, being quite rigid and thick, was difficult to slip into the easel's groove because it was curved upward. Hopefully the next package will not have this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ilford b&w photography paper I made a pinhole camera for my grand children. I purchased ilford b&w variable contrast paper. The paper worked very well-much better than I expected. I also made some contact prints and they could have been better. This was probably do to me being brand new at any kind of devolopeing. The paper was fine and the shipping and service (help with my order) was great. Thanks B&H, Frank T Live Oak Florida

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ilford Mutigrade RC is great paper! You can’t go wrong with Ilford Multigrade or any Ilford Product. I use Kodak Dextol, Ilford Stop, and Kodak fixer in my printing process of getting great looking prints with Ilford Multigrade Paper. I recommend it to any student or amateur or professional wanting test prints before going to Fiber base paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and great for students My daughter bought this paper for her photography class, and has had no problems. It works very well with contact enlargers, and with Ilford developing tools. It comes in a thick cardboard box, with an opaque black bag inside. You can use the lid to make test strips, and no light can get into the box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic This is something that needs to be in every photographers arsenal. I am using it for photograming now and it is quick and easy to experiment with. The finish is classic and develops quickly. The grays do vary though, so keep your developing times consistent! The process is quick so pay attention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for beginner and experienced I've been using this paper for years and love the results I get from it. I prefer the glossy finish, plus it makes it easier to get paper right when you're first learning (by feel of the finish). Yields very good tones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality products at awesome prices Got this for a black and white photography class. So naturally, it's quality stuff... But the best part was the B&H prices! I spent significantly less than students who got their required class products elsewhere
