Key Features
  • Tracks Presenter & Responds w/ PTZ Moves
  • (2) Vaddio WallVIEW HD-18 Cameras
  • Wireless Microphone System
  • DVI/HDMI Output to Display System
The Vaddio AutoTrak IR Camera Tracking System with DVI/HDMI and Audio Interface follows a presenter as he or she moves around a room – without the need for a live human camera operator. AutoTrak is a PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) camera system that automatically tracks a presenter who's wearing an IR transmitter on a lanyard.

The AutoTrak system includes two Vaddio WallVIEW HD-18 cameras, one with an IR filter and the other for automatically tracking the presenter. At its heart is the Camera Tracking Interface, which receives video from the camera that's receiving IR signals from the presenter's lanyard. (The IR camera relies on two Vaddio Quick-Connect boxes to convert its output from composite to CAT-5 and back again to composite.) From this video the Camera Tracking Interface is able to use an advanced algorithm to generate RS-232 commands that make the second HD-18 camera pan, tilt, and zoom as the presenter moves.

This tracking camera outputs live video (1080i, 1080p, 720p, PAL, or NTSC) via CAT-5 cable to the Quick-Connect DVI/HDMI - SR box, which in turn outputs the video to your intended display device, switcher, recorder, etc., via its analog component HD YPbPr output and/or its DVI output, which is compatible with DVI 1.0 and HDMI 1.3.

The IR lanyard included with the AutoTrak system has a wireless microphone attached, and this transmits via RF to the Audio Interface. The Audio Interface box features both balanced XLR-M and unbalanced RCA-F output connectors.

AutoTrak is a powerful system on its own, but it's also designed to work with optional Vaddio AutoPresenter and trigger devices (not included), components such as PresenterPODs and StepVIEW mats that can extend the system's functionality. Triggers from AutoPresenter, for instance, can send a command to AutoTrak to zoom into a specific area when a presenter walks to a predetermined area.
