McDSP Chrome Tone HD v5 - Guitar Amp Modeling and Effects (TDM/RTAS)

Chrome Tone v5 from McDSP is 5 plug-ins that bring the world of custom guitar amplifiers, boutique outboard gear and pedal effects inside Pro Tools HD systems. The collection of effects includes distortion, compression, gating, chorus, flange, EQ, wah, tremolo, spring reverb and tape delay. These effects can all be used together in a single stacked configuration, or as independent effects.

The 5 discrete plug-ins include the following:

• Amp - flexible guitar amp modeling
• Wah - multi-mode filters configured as traditional 'wah' effects
• Chorus - frequency modulation effects
• Trem - volume modulation effects
• Stack - combination of Amp, Wah, Chorus and Trem effects, plus tape delay

Chrome Tone effects can respond dynamically to the incoming audio, side chain audio, or various MIDI events including MIDI note and velocity and MIDI control data. The wah, tremolo, and chorus plug-ins feature a dynamics section that provides a fully controllable envelope follower to modify the effect itself. The LFO can be synced to MIDI beat clock in a variety of tempo derivatives and the rate, shape, and depth can be further modulated by the state of the dynamic section.
