McDSP FutzBox v5 - Lo-Fi Distortion Effects Plug-In (Native)

FutzBox v5 from McDSP is a distortion and noise generator plug-in for creating low fidelity versions of audio signals. Audio post productions often require distorted versions of dialog and other tracks, or simulations of radio, cell phone or television audio outputs. All of these functions are available in a single plug-in.

Synthetic Impulse Models (SIMs) provide accurate modeling in an optimized format, allowing for less DSP demands when compared to conventional convolution based products. Furthermore, the models can be scaled in real-time and changed on the fly.

The plug-in also includes filtering and EQ, distortion, a noise generator and fast gating to allow for a wide variety of effects. Original and distorted audio can be mixed in real-time to accommodate scene changes or other automation requirements.

Version 5 of the plug-in now includes an Audio Units version for use with DAWs that support the format, including Logic, Digital Performer (DP) and Ableton Live. Additionally, a third party software application that supports the TDM, RTAS, or AudioSuite plug-in standard can also be used.
