The Samsung AutoIP Single Channel Network Video Encoder encodes one channel of analog video and audio for transmission over a network. Along with converting A/V signals, this unit will digitize control signals for PTZ cameras connected to its RS-485 control port. Support for multiple protocols ensures interoperability with various brands of CCTV controllers and DVRs.
Video is encoded using the H.264 compression format at up to 30 fps at D1 resolution, ensuring quality video images while maximizing bandwidth usage. MJPEG compression is also supported for backward compatibility. Support for dual H.264 streams will allow the same video content to be sent to two separate destinations at different frame rates and resolutions to suit a particular CCTV or network requirement. Video can also be simultaneously sent in the H.264 and MJPEG formats.
This encoder features an on-board memory card slot that accepts a single micro SD card up to 16GB in capacity. This will allow local recording and can also be used as a backup method in case of network downtime. A PoE connector makes it possible to power the camera via its Ethernet cable, saving time and installation costs. There are also alarm I/O ports for interfacing this encoder with external alarm and relay devices.
