Archos 4GB Arnova 8 Android-Based Touch Screen Tablet

The portable and lightweight Archos 4GB Arnova 8 Android-Based Touch Screen Tablet runs an Android 2.1 Eclair operating system and is equipped with 4GB of flash memory. It has an integrated 8.0" TFT LCD touch screen with a virtual keyboard. The full color, 800 x 600 resolution display can support up to 720p HD video playback and affords full-page web browsing as well. With wireless (802.11 b/g) network connectivity, the Arnova 8 can access the Internet from a home wireless network or WiFi hot spot. The Android operating system supports the ever-expanding Android AppsLib, providing users access to thousands of useful free and pay apps. Quick and easy to use, the AppsLib offers sports, news and media apps, mobile gaming apps and social network applications. As an introduction to the AppsLib, the Arnova 8 comes pre-installed with an email app that lets you configure your tablet with several different email accounts. The application even provides email alert notifications that appear on your home screen whenever one of your accounts receives an email.

Designed to keep you connected, informed and entertained, the Arnova 8 supports multiple media file formats for audio, text, photo and video playback. In addition to the high-resolution 8.0" LCD touch screen display, the tablet incorporates dual built-in speakers, headphone jack and integrated microphone to provide a full multimedia experience. For transferring media files, the Arnova 8 features a USB 2.0 port. There's a microSD (SDHC) slot as well, which can be used for viewing stored content or for expanding the tablet's storage capacity. The Arnova 8 also has a USB host port for connecting a mouse, keyboard or USB mass storage device. For power, the tablet has an internal lithium polymer rechargeable battery that provides up to 5.5 hours of video playback or up to 25 hours of music playback between charges. It also comes with an AC adapter for using external power.
