Vocas MB-450 High-End Production Mattebox Kit for Panasonic AG-AF100

The Vocas MB-450 High-End Production Mattebox Kit for Panasonic AG-AF100 will help you control the light that hits your AF100's lens as well as manage the filters you'll use for each setup. Made of machined aluminum and other materials, the MB-450 mattebox is designed for large HD and film camera lenses up to 144mm in diameter.

This MB-450 kit includes a hinged French flag for the top of the mattebox, two rotatable and one fixed filter trays, internal eyebrows, and a 16:9 matte. The first two filter trays are both fully rotatable and 150mm wide. The first accepts a 4 x 4" or 4 x 5.65" (horizontal) filter, and the second accepts a 5.65 x 5.65" or 4 x 5.65" (vertical) filter. The third, non-rotatable tray fits into the MB-450's 121mm wide slot for a 4 x 5.65" (horizontal) filter.

The mattebox can either clip onto the lens or attach to standard rods systems. A swing-away bracket for 15mm rods systems is included with the kit. This enables quick lens changes without having to disassemble the mattebox setup – perfect for a camcorder with interchangeable lenses such as the Panasonic AF100. (Side flags, additional filter holders, and a patented tilt-filter unit are optional accessories for the kit – not included.)

If the mattebox is to be used with 15mm rods, the included flexible adapter ring kit is required in order to fill the gap between the rear of the mattebox and the lens front. The flexible adapter ring supports lens diameters up to 138mm, and it includes a holder for an additional round 138mm filter. If the holder is used, the maximum lens diameter is 133mm. The adapter ring kit also includes several soft rubber "donut" rings to be used on lenses with a front outside diameter between 80 and 138mm.
