The FreeWave Fusion Wireless Flash Trigger & Remote Control from Vello is a versatile, reliable remote control kit that will trigger off-camera flash units and studio lights from up to 300 feet away. It can be used to configure up to three different light groups, which can be triggered individually or simultaneously, for a total of seven different combinations, using its multiple groups feature. Simultaneous triggering of multiple light groups requires additional FreeWave Fusion Receivers (available separately).

The FreeWave Fusion also provides the convenience of a wireless camera shutter release, ideal for photographing wildlife, and also for macro and close-up photos or long exposures, where the slightest camera movement can ruin a picture. Working on the 2.4GHz frequency gives you reduced radio interference and an extended range (up to 320' (100 m)) - you don't need to have line-of-sight alignment, either, as radio waves will pass through walls, windows and floors.

Note:
Since the FreeWave Fusion does not transmit TTL settings, use of a flash or light unit with full manual control is recommended. You will need to set the power output manually.

The FreeWave Fusion is compatible with most cameras, flash units and studio lights. However, for flash wake-up functionality and/or high shutter speeds, you will need full Nikon TTL support via your camera, flash and FreeWave Fusion trigger.
This remote does not provide high-voltage sync protection, and is not recommended for use with flash units that have a trigger voltage of more than 6V.

2.4GHz Radio Frequency
Reduced interference and improved wireless signal quality.
Extended Range
Range up to 320' (100 m)
Multi-Purpose

Take advantage of sync speeds that match the rating of your camera all the way up to 1/320s (on compatible cameras only).
Flash Wake-Up

Note! If your flash does not have a wake-up function, you may be able to turn off sleep mode. Refer to your flash's manual for instructions.

One receiver works with multiple camera and light models. Just swap out the connecting cables.

FreeWave Fusion Wireless Flash Trigger & Remote Control (for Most Nikon SLR) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could be better I purchased this looking for an alternative to Pocket Wizard III models as they were on backorder and taking forever to arrive. The unit really is good for the price. It comes with both a receiver and transmitter all for a very low price. And it works. I just felt that there was a slight delay, more than I wanted to have, from the time I pressed the button to when the camera actually shot the photos. I sent it back and plan on using Pocket Wizards. This is a good model if you don't have a lot of pressure to get photos or for family use. It's cost effective. I wouldn't use it for anything where I needed to be spot on when I take a photo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of gear, affordable. I bought this set to have more freedom with my Nikon Speedlights, thats just what it delivered. The IR features are nice with nikons speedlights, but it limits your speedlight placement to having line of sight to the command flash. This cuts that limitation out and allows freedom of light placement. I work with no studio and depend on my speedlights to do my dirty work because more often then not... I have no electrical outlet and enjoy incorporating nature into portraits. Beaches, trees and open fields are far better than backdrops. In fact, its what separates me from the rest of the local photographers locally.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Vello Wireless Flash Trigger & Remote The wireless flash trigger was up and running in a just a few minutes. With one transmitter and two receivers I am able to trigger my 2 SB-700's off the camera. Since the FreeWave Fusion trigger is non-TTL the flash units must be used in manual mode; so in order to get a good exposure you will have to vary the flash power setting and perhaps tweak the flash zoom. Using the FreeWave Fusion as a remote shutter release was a breeze. I've tested both the flash trigger and remote functions out to about 150 feet without any failures. Overall, a good product for the price with the features I was looking for. Build quality seems OK. Only time will tell if they will stand up to a lot of use and handling.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They are not pocket wizards I am a pro. TSA took my pocketwizards from my luggage and they are lost forever. Pricey to replace I thought I would try a lower priced alternative. out of the box, flash on the hot shoe, worked ok. Unfortunately, most of my lights are not speed lights. there is not pc connector so i bought their adapter which has a PC connector. It trips my qflashes but not my norman b400s. With the qflashes, I had to reset the receiver after every shot. Trigger and receiver both froze with a green light. Additionally, if you are using as a camera trigger, you cannot trigger your lights as they flash same time you trigger the camera, before the shutter opens. Thet appeared to be well made. If you are using shoe mount flash without TTL, these may work well for you. These are way cheaper than pocketwizards but with reliability so important, the PWIIIs are not that much more expensive over cost of time and I would go there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flawless Operation I really could not think of any reason not to give this 5 stars. Works as it is supposed to. Quality is good. Price is affordable and is a value compared to others brands available. I also purchased a couple more of the receivers. This is the best way to trigger studio flash units, as many pass a lot of current through to the camera and can actually fry your camera. This eliminates that all together. For location shoots, this is indispensable. I typically use multiple flash units on location and this trigger system works great. I use a receiver on each of my three Nikon SB800s. You loose TTL - but so what.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great product! I purchased two of them... This product has more capabilities than I may ever use. It is amazing for triggering a remote camera hidden on the altar during a wedding ceremony. Also great for camera room work and will replace the larger more clunky previous wireless trigger I have been using for years. One drawback, I have not figured out how I can fire my flash that is on my camera bracket, and remote flash simultaneously as I release the shutter. I wish the transmitter also had a place to connect a trigger wire. The only solution I have come up with is to use two receivers, even though one flash is only 18 inches away.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for starting out! I like to buy the best that I can afford for everything but I could not justify spending over $500 on a couple pocketwizards when I am just starting out using off camera flash, especially after adding up the cost of everything needed to get started (2 speedlights, 2 light stands, umbrellas, speedlight adapters for each light stand etc) it adds up! So i took a chance on these for a fraction of the cost and they work great! They are very simple to use and very user friendly. My only issue was when I went to replace the battery in the transmitter (uses a watch battery) I was having a hard time getting it out and a little battery tie down broke, so I just have to put a piece of tin foil on top of the battery so when I the door is clipped on it holds the battery firmly in place. No big deal but I still have no clue how to get that battery out the correct way

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value I bought two receivers and the transmitter. I have never done any wireless flash photography prior to this purchase but they are getting the job done pretty well! I think no more than 3 times have one of the receivers not triggered but I simply noticed after reviewing the image and re-shot with no problem. I haven't put too much weight on the devices, I am using SB-600s but the transmitter between whatever base you are mounting to will definitely create a more flexing/flimsy flash. I don't think you could ask for anything more at this price, would certainly recommend this product.
