The Vello BG-C6 Battery Grip for Canon EOS 60D is a battery grip designed for use specifically with the Canon EOS 60D digital SLR camera. It accepts up to two LP-E6 batteries to effectively double the camera's battery life. The included AA battery holder allows you to use six AA batteries for added convenience. The grip is also compatible with the Canon AC Adapter Kit ACK-E6.

The BG-C6 offers an alternate shutter release button, AF start button, AF point selection, AE lock/FE lock button, AF Start, and main dial to facilitate shooting in a vertical orientation.

Not compatible with Duracell brand alkaline batteries

I have EBL 4500 3.7V Li-ion batteries which are same size as AA batteries. Will they work?

Those 3.7VDC would cause serious over-voltage and likely damage this grip. This device takes either Canon LP-E6 batteries or 6 AA or LR6 Alkaline batteries.

Will this fit on a 70D because they are the same battery type

No, the Vello BG-C6 Battery Grip for Canon EOS 60D will not fit onto the Canon EOS 70D DSLR camera just as the Canon BG-E9 Battery Grip is not compatible with the Canon EOS 70D DSLR camera. The battery grip is dependent on the camera's body design, not on the battery that is used inside the camera. Therefore, you must purchase the battery grip that is specifically designed for your camera. Canon has released the Canon BG-E14 Battery Grip for use with the Canon EOS 70D. As the Canon EOS 70D is a new camera, it usually takes some time for third-party manufacturers to create items that are specifically designed for a particular camera model. As such, we recommend to periodically check our website for an update to Vello's compatible accessories for the newly-announced Canon EOS 70D.

Yes, the Specifications tab indicates the Vello BG-C6 Battery Grip for Canon EOS 60D is compatible for use with the Canon AC Adapter Kit ACK-E6.

Hi Gustavo,In my personal experience with this grip, there have been no issues with any of the buttons either on the grip or camera. They all work as expected.I hope this help.
