The 701-1 Straight Cutter Elite from Logan Graphic Products is a pull type 90° blade holder that can be used with any suitable straight edge. It uses the Logan 270 blade and has preinstalled nylon guides and screws so you can instantly add the Straight Cutter Elite to the Logan Adapt-A-Rule and many of the Logan mat cutters. It has an ergonomic, pivot-action grip for easy cutting. The adjustable blade depth setting allows you to cut matboard, foamboard, and similar materials up to 3/16" thick.

I just stared Framing and printing my photos. I love framing and it easy to use Logan Graphics product. I really love framing and the process of taking a photo and editing it in a computer and printing it and get to handle the print and then finale framing it and putting it in a frame, i love seeing my work in frame done and go through rewarding process and big part of that is using Logan Graphics products.

I cut foam board with with good results. It works well to keep cots straight and square to the surface of the board. Board needs to be held tightly and I am careful to keep my hand behind the blade in case of a slip. Similar cutting effort to a box cutter but better controlled.

Does the cutter come with extra blades?

I believe it came with a couple of blades but it's best to have extra packs on hand. Cutting with a sharp blade insures very smooth professional looking cuts. Have fun, I did. Very well made product.
