The Viewsonic NMP-200 Network Media Player is a digital signage device that connects to your network via Ethernet 10/100 Base-T and is controllable over LAN and WAN. With its data inputs, the device can also serve content to a display locally. The NMP-200 works with any screen with an S-Video, RCA composite, or VGA input, and it handles resolutions up to 720 x 480p (30fps). For audio, the device has a stereo line-out.
The NMP-200 has a USB input as well as a CompactFlash card slot (Type I/II) for loading MPEG video onto the device. MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 (MP@ML: 480p) and MPEG-4 (ASP@L2 AVI) video file types are supported. Content is stored efficiently so that an hour of video typically requires only 1.2 GB of storage on the memory card.
Because the NMP-200 is compatible with Scala digital signage network software, you can easily integrate the device into your larger digital signage network. The media player features an IAdea IAN411 Multimedia Networking Processor for networking and an ESS Digital Media Processor 2 (DMP2) for video playback. The NMP-200 includes Signage Manager Express Software (LAN) as well as Adfotain Central Management Server (WAN).
