    Auray MS-5130 reviews

MS-5130 Round Base Microphone Stand is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So worth the money - Will be buying more Heavy base, durable, can use different mic attachment heads, extremely stable, and takes up way less room than a tripod stand (no legs to trip on).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value Mic Stand This is a great purchase and value for the price. It is well made and the base is heavy enough to keep it upright, which is pretty much all you can ask for. I don't like advertising for other companies while I work and I wasn't thrilled about the very visible label, but the sticker peeled right off. My only concern is that the clamp is plastic, but I'm not using this on stage at the Garden. I use this for on-location comedy shows, random public appearances, and around the studio for recording voiceovers. The cable clip is also plastic and pops off a little too easily, but it's totally unnecessary anyway given the existence of gaffer tape. Just screw the upright into the base, screw on your microphone clip, plug in your mic, and start talking/singing/screaming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MS-5130 Round Base Auray ic Stand This is a great cost effective mic stand that won't get in the way like most tripod base stands. I use it in my studio for everything from 1 microphone vocal warm up and rehearsal to multiple mics attached for instrument and vocal recording. The base is heavy enough to support a mic, a small boom pole for instrument recording and a small clamp on music stand. My only complaint is that the cable clip that comes with the stand is not large enough to hold more than 1 XLR cable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Small rubber feet Purchased 6 stands. The rubber feet are much smaller than standard and easily fall off. Every one came off and I was on my knees on stage trying to gather them just before the show started. Because they fall off, there is no shock isolation between the stage and stand. This creates a lower feedback threshold on wooden stages. Probably ok on concrete but will be noisy. Other stands have a much more robust rubber foot that is screwed on. I will be sending them back to B&H.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good product - nice and heavy. I would give the product five stars, but they sent one and apparently it wasn't taped well enough because it arrived in our area in an empty box and they had to resend another. It delayed my receipt of the stand for about a week which was really unfortunate. I got no explanation or apology (I found out what happened from UPS and when I wrote to the company another was then dispatched with no explanation or anything.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Stand After trying to get by without it a mic stand, I looked around and bought this Auray stand. For the price, it's a decent stand. I also bought an extendable 48 boom to attach to this. It holds the boom well but when fully extended it does feels less sturdy and cheaper. All in all, it's definitely not the most expensive or best built stand you can get, but for the price it will serve my purposes well.
