    Manfrotto 562B-1 Reviews

562B-1 Fluid Video Aluminum Monopod with 357 Quick Release is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 67.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect match paired with 500AH Head I needed a solution for Run & Gun video shoots for my Lumix GH3 and purchased the 562B-1 plus the MVH500AH head so I could also use it on my 055 tripod. So far I am very pleased with both units. The monopod is well built; plenty sturdy for M4/3's. I used the combo last weekend to shoot a musical trio at a Farmer's Market easily without shaking or fatigue. I would like to see a sling strap or some way to carry the monopod. I didn't see any accessory listed on Manfrotto's site. I would recommend the unit for anyone looking for a portable, sturdy platform for photography or video.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST MONOPOD EVER! Ditch the Manfrotto 561BHDV Monopod combo and buy this. It's cheaper, carries more weight than said monopod, much sturdier, and you won't be stuck with the non-removable fluid head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made In Italy. High Quality High Quality Monopod, exceptional build quality. I trust Manfrotto; this product specifically is made in Italy. Using this in conjuction with my Manfrotto MV500AH Fluid Head. Works very nicely with this monopod; once you screw it on you dont really have to worry about it loosening up when you are panning ( that was orginally one of my concerns but I found it to be a non issue). If you plan on doing super long exposures you prolly will also want to get a tripod as well. I like the Manfrotto 755xb Mdeve tripod; did a lot of research and found that one to be exceptional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST MONOPOD ON THE MARKET!!! I'm a photographer and cinematographer with 2-3 years of experience in the field. Over the years, I've tried different setups, rigs, cages, etc. And for my style, monopod seems to fit my needs which is the run & gun style. However they still tend to shake more specially when we get tired which heavily affects the footage. I was going to buy the Manfrotto 561BHDV Monopod + 701HDV Fluid Head Combo for twice the amount of this monopod, but I found this for a lot cheaper price (double the weight the 561BHDV can hold), spend the extra cash for a better fluid head (I just got a barely used 503HDV for cheap - some say it's not a true fluid head but I beg to differ + it can hold more weight than the 701HDV or 501HDV and other heads) and other equipment I need. It doesn't even bother me that I can't pan left to right with the 501HDV head, y'all are very picky to be honest. I'm happy with my purchase and you all should too.The only negative I could think of is the addition of the long plate with the adapter. I guess it's Manfrotto's way of pushing sales on the 561BHDV, but oh well. I contacted them, I was able to remove the annoying plate (held by a small screw under the plate), just replaced it with the 503HDV head and now I'm good to go for my next gig this weekend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An invaluable tool in any event shooter's gear kit I shoot mostly weddings and live events and I've rented a similar model to this unit once before and fell in love with the concept of monopod shooting. I liked the idea of adding a quick release plate to the mix to facilitate moving between tripod and monopod easily. The only caveat to this unit is that it is not compatible with Manfrotto's 500 series plates. It's just too wide to fit. So you might consider grabbing another QR set if you already use the 500 series heads. Other than that, this unit is flawless. Heavy enough to lend stability but light enough to move around quickly. The fluid/pan base is great and I have achieved amazing pans pretty easily. Sports, live events, weddings, anything where you need to move around, get the right monopod and you'll be amazed at the new shots you're able to get.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An Excellent Tool I do a lot of shooting in operating rooms where a full tripod is not appropriate. This monopod comes in very handy for that application. I also really love the quick release head for hand holding. The tripod can then placed out of the way--standing up. I wished I would have sprung for the HD-1 head. Maneuvering can be awkward because there the head doesn't tilt. I wish the manufacturer had thought about a carrying bag/case. I tried another monopod bag but it didn't work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably the best edition to my gear I'm a professional documentary film maker. I bought this monopod to use with my existing Manfrotto 701HDV video head. They work perfectly together. I'm using this setup at times were setting up a tripod is not possible, either because of time constraints or location. It's really easy to use, and makes my life so much easier in finding the right composition. I use it with my Sony EX3 and my HD-SLR's Would recommend this product to anyone serious about videography.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best Monopods for DSLRs I have used this monopod for shooting Youth League Football games with a Nikon D810 w/ 70-200mm lens. I love the fluid head and feet at the bottom. It allows smooth movement when following the subject. Even with the extra features, the monopod is still relatively lightweight. Great for shooting photos or video. Build quality is great, with adjustability. The only Con I probably have is that it doesn't collapse as small as I would like it. I would prefer it to fit in my carry-on case along with My Manfrotto tripod.
