Coating a printed image is never required. It is optional but highly recommended for added protection.

why do you call it paper? isn't it canvas? does this stretch on stretcher bars?

Yes its canvas. Its a poly blend and we use it all the time. It's a little harder to stretch than the satin but love the look. It is to be stretched onto stretcher bars. Not sue why they are calling it that but I've looked at some of my other suppliers and I think whoever wrote the description for B&H is the only one calling it that. Even Epson doesn't say that on the box.

The Epson Glossy Exhibition Canvas Archival Inkjet Paper ill fit in a Canon Pro4000 printer but there are no ICC profiles available. You can either use a similar Canon profile or create your own custom paper profile.
