question

Guys, I want to use this on my Canon HG-21, particularly in close quarters indoors where I need a wider field of view. It looks perfect for my needs. The one question: I have a UV filter on the lens that I keep there, partially for lens protection (old school photographer habit). Can I screw this lens into the front of it, or does it need to mount directly on the lens itself? Thanks,JB

The Helder EW-4537 wide angle conversion lens is compatible with your Canon HG-21 camcorder. You should remove the UV filter and mount the wide angle lens directly onto the camcorder. The Helder EW-4537 has a 49mm front mount filter size and you can mount a 49mm UV filter on it.

question

Will this lens work with canon hf200
Asked by: Anonymous
Since the HF-200 has a 37mm filter ring, it should work perfectly fine, as it does on my HG-21. The location of that filter ring is very precisely established relative to the optics. If you have any existing filters installed (I always use a UV filter) you need to remove it before installing this lens, because it will throw it out of focus.
