The Sky-Watcher S20301 M48 Camera Adaptor enables you to attach a Nikon DSLR camera to a Sky-Watcher 0.85x Focal Reducer/Corrector. This is a larger ring than standard T2 size, and it is designed to accommodate larger format imaging systems to ensure maximum light throughput and complete coverage of the imaging sensor. This M48 ring can be used on the Esprit and ProED series with the dedicated field correctors and should not be used on their collapsible Dobsonians.

The Sky-Watcher S20301 M48 Camera Adaptor for Nikon is compatible with Nikon F-mount cameras only and Esprit and ProED series telescopes, using the dedicated field correctors. There is no equivalent adapter for Nikon Z-mount cameras.

Scope/filter newbie question: on the product photo, it looks like the threads on the left-hand side go into the corrector/reducer. Are the threads on the right-hand side (near the bayonet mount) able to hold a 48mm (2 inch) filter?

Scope/filter newbie question here: In the product photo, I'm guessing that the threads on the left hand side (near the printing) go to the corrector/reducer. Are the threads on the right hand side (near the bayonet mount) able to hold a 2 inch (48mm) filter?
Per John's reply, the side opposite the printing is the Nikon F mount that installs into your camera body. The side near the printing screws into the Sky-Watcher flat field corrector. You need to install your filter further up in the imaging train. Download the instruction manual on the Sky-Watcher website for the Esprit ED120 and you will see as an example where to install a filter in the extender tube. You need all the parts shown to obtain the correct back focus distance or the telescope will not reach focus..
