The Vivotek NR8201 Network Video Recorder (4-Channel) with VAST CMS lockable HDD offers recording and real-time monitoring simultaneously. It allows you to record videos in H.264, MJPEG, and MPEG-4 formats at a resolution of 1080p at 30 fps. Multiple recording modes allow the NVR to record videos in alarm, schedule, manual, and continuous modes.
With the ePTZ operation, the NR8201 NVR allows you to move the focus to the viewing area for a close-up view for easy identification of remote objects without moving the camera physically. Motion detection triggers an alarm when motion is detected in a designated portion of the video display. You can also receive email notifications when motion is detected. The user-friendly interface enables you to control the various DVR functions and configure the network settings easily. Besides, the NVR supports 4 digital inputs and 1 digital output interface for integrating with the security sensors and alarms.
Power is supplied to the camera through PoE; hence the camera gets power from the network itself without any extra wiring for auxiliary power outlets. You can use the NVR to record high-definition megapixel videos on removable hard disks with large capacity and a USB interface for data backup. The NVR supports an external eSATA interface for expansion purpose as well as provides RAID 0 & 1 storage solution. To prevent network congestion, the NVR uses the built-in gateway that separates the network connection from the network cameras and data network.
You can control the various PTZ functions of the camera via joystick and assign up to 10 commands to the joystick's button. As the network video recorder supports 3GPP, you can monitor the surveillance area via 3GPP enabled cell phones. While the multi-level password protection allows only the operators who have a user name and user password to access the camera, the IP address filtering restricts system-access and system-control to selected users.
