The Vivotek FD8134V Fixed Dome Network Camera with ¼" CMOS image sensor delivers clear images in H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG formats at a resolution of 1280 x 800 at 30 fps. The camera uses a removable IR cut filter to switch between color and B&W as per changes in ambient lighting.
With built-in IR illuminators effective up to 32' (10m), the camera provides clear imagery even in darkness. A minimum illumination of 0 lux makes the camera suitable for use in complete darkness. Motion detection triggers an alarm when motion is detected in a designated portion of the video display and triple-window motion detection is used to customize the motion detection system for monitoring specific areas. The Network Camera's tamper detection feature triggers an alarm when the camera is being tampered with incidents such as redirected, blocked, defocused or spray-painted.
Auto white balance adjusts the red and blue signals by taking a standard white color reference to get the most natural colors. The network camera's automatic gain control feature adjusts the signal strength to maintain a constant brightness level. The SD/SDHC card slot for on-board storage prevents data loss due to network connection and also makes efficient use of bandwidth by reducing the transmission of unnecessary data.
With the flexible 3-axis mechanism, the dome camera is easy to install in ceiling/wall applications. Power is supplied to the camera through PoE; hence the camera gets power from the network itself without any extra wiring for auxiliary power outlets. The 32-channel Vivotek recording software allows you to simultaneously monitor and record videos for multiple network cameras. The camera supports HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol over SSL), which protects streaming data transmission across the network. The IP66 rated housing protects the camera against rain and dust, making the bullet camera suitable for use in extreme weather conditions.
