The AP-311 Audio Leveler from AV Toolbox is a compact device that uses patented technology from SRS Labs to maintain a constant stereo audio level output in spite of fluctuations encountered in a source's audio signal. The device has stereo RCA input and output connectors for wide compatibility.
The AP-311 holds levels constant by dividing the audio spectrum into 20 separate bands and sampling the levels within each band. This is a sophisticated model based on how humans perceive sound. There is no simple automatic level controlling or audio pumping, and sampling artifacts are not introduced into the output signal, keeping audio clean and clear. The unit accepts input levels of up to 2Vrms and gives a maximum output level of 1Vrms. The AP-311 operates on 5VDC power, and an AC adapter is included.
