ESI M8U XL 8-In / 8-Out USB 2.0 MIDI Interface

The ESI/Ego Sys M8U XL 8-In / 8-Out USB 2.0 MIDI Interface affords eight independent MIDI inputs and eight independent MIDI outputs, which yields a total of 128 MIDI channels with single USB 2.0 (1.1) connectivity to your PC or Mac computer. Seven inputs and seven outputs feature rear-panel MIDI connectors, while input and output eight have front-panel MIDI connectors. The M8U XL fits in a 19" 1U rack mount space and features status LEDs for all eight inputs and outputs.

For added convenience, the M8U XL requires no driver installation for Windows XP/Vista/7 or Mac OS X. It's fully class compliant as well, which makes it compatible with other operating systems including Linux. For users that require more than the eight inputs and eight outputs, it's possible to run two M8U XL devices simultaneously on the same computer. Plus, there's also an optional downloadable driver that makes the unit multi-client capable. This lets you use the MIDI input and output ports in several applications simultaneously.
