the 49mm Filter Thread is just female or male on one end and female on the other end?
The part of the adapter that attaches to the camera lens does not have threads and is a type of mount specific for the lens.And the front is a standard 49mm female thread for filters.

Does this work on the X100T????.... Got off brand from eBay that said would work on X100T but it doesn't fit. Hope someone actually have used this on a X100T.
YES IT WORKS. You must unscrew and remove the finial ring on the camera first. Then, screw on the adapter. I have an x100t and I just attached the adapter ring. I have attached my B+W 49 MRC nano clear filter and I am good to go.
