This the DMW-AC8 AC Adapter for Select Panasonic Lumix Digital Cameras from Panasonic. It permits you to use your camera off standard AC power without using up your batteries. The system consists of two pieces and is included with the camera. To use it - plug the AC Adapter into your Lumix and the AC Cable into the Adapter that then plugs into a standard wall outlet.
An optional DC Adapter is available that enables you to replace the batteries with this module, plug it into the AC Adapter that then goes into the wall socket. This item may be required to use your camera under certain circumstances. However, it depends on which model Lumix you own since various Lumix cameras require a different DC Adapter.
