The CoursePro Elite Golf GPS Rangefinder (Black) from Celestron is a GPS device that assists golfers to determine the distance to the front, center and back of the green they are playing to. The information is provided on a 240x320 pixel, sunlight readable, LCD screen. Specific golf course specifications can be downloaded and stored in the CoursePro's memory. Besides the distances to the front, center and back of the green for each hole, the par is also presented. The device calculates the shot distance and optionally backlights the information for viewing in low light. Up to the minute accurate and crucial information is provided giving the golfer that all important competitive edge.
The CoursePro can connect to the Celestron CoursePro database and download up to 100 golf courses data to a PC via an included USB cable. The Celestron CoursePro database has an online selection of over 22,000 golf courses to choose from. Five free course download maps are included. It is powered by a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, with an 8 - 10 hour life per charge. It ships with a soft carrying pouch, a belt clip, a Mini USB cable and an AC wall adapter. Each CoursePro device is water resistant tested to IPX6 standards which mean that it can handle heavy splashing and rain.
