Celestron Outland X 8x42 Reviews

Not too bad, BUT…

I’ve had these for a couple of weeks now and primarily use them for birding. I wanted something with decent magnification and light gathering without the weight. I currently use a Vortex 12x50 which are great! But the size and weight is a bit much when carrying around for many hours. So I purchased the Celestron in hopes of a good value lighter option. The magnification and image clarity is really good. And yes, they do meet the smaller and lighter characteristics that I was aiming for. The biggest issue with these are that the adjustable eye cups are very loose so they constantly collapse themselves down with any gentle contact. Because of this I’m having to adjust them each and every time before bringing them to my eyes. I’ll see how much more I can tolerate but I may have to return these because it’s beginning to drive me crazy. I do like these except for this one annoying flaw.

Very nice
