This dovetail bar is pretty flexible, having a number of holes, some of which are threaded for attaching various options. My only complaint is the channel in the bottom that allows you to attach a 1/4 DSLR tripod screw is somewhat narrow. This means the screws that use D-rings don't have enough width to turn. I had to remove the D-ring from mine and revert to a flat-head screwdriver to attach my DSLR. Other than that inconvenience, it's well made and the price is right.

Does anyone know if this plate will mount on top of the Celestron C6 so you can add aguide scope?
The top OTA screws are used to hold the tube to the front and rear housing and not meant to hold the Universal Mounting Plate.

Yes, one can mount the Celestron C90 Mak Spotting Scope on the Celestron Universal Mounting Plate, CG-5, and hen mount this on the Celestron Advanced VX GoTo German Equatorial Mount.

Does this fit a Celestron nexstar VO or SE mount? If not do they have one that would permit mounting a lens/camera directly onto those mounts?Thanks!
I think the orion 5052 dovetail L bracket would work but I don't think B&H carries it.
