The 4-Hour Rapid Charger for AA and AAA NiMH and NiCd Rechargeable Batteries from Watson charges two or four AA or AAA batteries (not included). It is compatible with both NiMH and NiCd batteries. Charging time varies from 100-280 minutes, depending upon battery quantity, size, and capacity.

The charger's intelligent Negative Delta-V microprocessor doles out the full charge to each battery, while Zero Slope Detection prevents overcharging. The Safety Guard Timer automatically shuts off after 6 hours in cases where batteries are taking far longer than normal to charge, in order to prevent damage from excessive current.

The charger has two charging level indicator lights to keep you apprised of battery status. Switching 100-240 VAC input power enables use all over the world. The charger's compact outlet prongs fold in, making the unit more compact for storage.

Will charge either 2 or 4 AA or AAA batteries (sold separately).
Works with batteries that have Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) or Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) chemistry.
Charging time varies based upon battery quantity, size, and capacity.  Charging 2 AAA batteries will take about 100 minutes, while 4 AAA's will require about 200 minutes. Charging time for 2 AA batteries with a capacity of about 1800mAh will be roughly 110 minutes, while 4 AA batteries at that capacity will require about 220 minutes. For higher-capacity AA's in the 2400-2500mAh range, 2 batteries will charge in approximately 140 minutes, and 4 batteries will take about 280 minutes.
An intelligent Negative Delta-V microprocessor ensures that each battery is charged to its full capacity, while the Zero Slope Detection feature prevents overcharging.
Safety Guard Timer will automatically shut off after 6 hours. So in cases where batteries are taking far longer than normal to charge, they will not be exposed to excessive current that could cause damage.
Dual charging level indicator lights are red while batteries are charging and turn green when charging is complete. They will flash red if the batteries are not charging properly.
Switching 100-240 VAC input power allows you to use the charger all over the world.
The compact outlet prongs fold in and out to make the unit smaller for easier storage.

4-Hour Rapid Charger for AA and AAA NiMH and NiCd Rechargeable Batteries is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 64.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting to know it WARNING!! this is a charger that works like a charm, just don't pay attention to the charging directions. Here's the scoop: When you start charging the batteries the 2 LCD red lights will blink and instantly will stop doing it, but it doesn't mean the charger is not doing it's job, is just that the lit red lights will stay on 'till the batteries are completely charged and then the LCD lights will turn green. It's a matter of typo error on PEARSTONE part but the chargers work just fine, I should know I bought 2 from B&H

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So-So at Best Seems to charge my NiMH batteries quickly as promised but the charge indicator LED's are unreliable. They are suppose to flash during charging and remain lit when charging is done while keeping the batteries trickle charged. However, I insert nearly completely dead NiMH rechargables and the LED's flash for a couple seconds then remain lit but the batteries are not charged. If I leave the batteries in the charger they do get charged in about four hours but I can only tell by feeling them get hot during charging and then cooling when charging is complete. I have tried the charger with several brands of NiMH batteries and the results are the same. This charger is value priced but I would have gladly paid more for better reliability but options are limited.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than sliced bread. This product absolutely changed my life. I don't know how I ever lived without it. Amazing. Just amazing. I no longer have stress in my life. All my problems have been solved. I cannot thank you enough. Seriously, it is a battery charger. It charges batteries. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. So not gonna spend too much time lying to you about all the things it does or does not do. Sad to think that there is so much poorly made stuff out there that these surveys are neccessary. I bought a product that was inexpensive to see if it fits my needs for my solar lighting in my yard. I didn't have huge expectations. Just needed to put batteries in a charger and have them charge. It does that. Is it supposed to sing and dance or make me tea? If not....then I guess this is a good? review. Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from AA-4HC 4 Hour Battery Charger by Pearsto I'm really not satisfied of this product: - the duration of any charger is to short and the resul is that batteries became hot immediately and appear charged after 5 minutes, but really don't. Maximum charged is 10 minutes of life while same batteries charged with different cherger has 1 day life. I used 2400 and 2700 ma batteries. To reach have longer duration I need to re put in cherg the batteries every 5 minutes... - the charger surface is to hot - is not easy to put in common power socket Many thanks and Regards

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A real money saver! This charger in conjunction with Nicads has saved me a lot of money. I use them in multiple flashes, transmitters, receivers, and remote triggering device. If you use a lot of batteries as I do, this is what you are looking for.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The name does not tell the story The recharger takes seven hours to recharge my batteries, not four hours. I am disappointed. I bought this to replace a similar device that took eight hours or sometimes more. Not a great improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Charger at a good price A basic compact charger that works well. It identifies weak batteries, and automatically shuts off when charging is complete. A good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Batteries I bought these because of the first ones I bought for my lightmeter. I would recommend these batteries because they maintain a charge.
