The ZEISS Compact Prime CP.2 85mm f /2.1 FT MFT Mount Lens is a cine lens designed for use with movie-capable HDSLR cameras and offers a full-frame coverage (14.17 x 9.45" / 36 x 24 mm). Featuring the MFT mount, the 85mm lens is mountable on cameras based on Micro Four Thirds systems (0.68 x 0.51" / 17.3 x 13 mm).
A maximum aperture of f/2.1 makes the lens suitable for low-light movie recording. Made of 14 high-precision blades the lens iris remains round and symmetrical over the entire f-stop range, and helps reproduce pleasing out-of-focus highlights and a smooth bokeh. The lens offers a closest focusing distance of 39" (1000mm) and a 11.6° horizontal angle of view.
Featuring interchangeable mounts, the 85mm lens can be used with traditional cine cameras (Super 35 / Normal 35) as well. Using 3 other compatible mounts, you can use the 85mm lens with cameras based on full-frame sensors, APS-H sensors, and APS-C sensors. A special anti-reflex coating and internal light traps suppress flaring, thus reproducing enhanced images. Made with the cine manufacturing process and featuring tight tolerances, the lens ensures low distortion, high resolution and excellent color rendition for sharp, punchy images.
