    Holga 120PC-3D Reviews

120PC-3D Stereo Pinhole Camera is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little camera! I have used this camera a few times on vacations and other outings. Images come out great with 100 speed film and about 4 to 6 seconds exposure time in bright sunlight. The slides need to be cut by hand to fit in the holders and used with the available viewer, but this isn't difficult to do and instructions are included. When looking at the slides through the viewer it really feels like being there! Need a pro lab that will develop and return uncut film for best results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Creative Tool - Snap One Up Before They're All Gone! I have been shooting stereo slides for a couple of decades, and pinhole images (thanks to my late friend Matt Neima) for a couple of years. I usually build my own pinhole cameras for Pinhole Day (Pinhole Day occurs on the last Sunday of every April) but when I found out that Holga was closing its doors and B&H was having a sale on the remaining Holga 3D Pinhole stock, I couldn't resist purchasing one. My first roll through this camera was a disaster. Allow me to save you some heartache and believe me when I caution you; DO NOT pay any attention to the exposure guide on the back of the camera! You do not have to use 400 ASA film to get good results with this camera or any pinhole camera. The exposure times listed on the back of the camera are way off, even for a lower ASA film. I believe the 400 ASA suggestion is a holdover from Holga's plastic-lensed 3D camera with colour flash. That particular camera has an aperture of f8 or f11, so using a higher ASA film with it does give better results. To use the 120PC-3D Stereo Pinhole Camera properly, download a free online exposure table for an f135 pinhole camera. Use a handheld meter to take a light reading of your subject and then use the exposure table to arrive at the number of seconds, minutes or even hours your proposed exposure will require. I recommend using a tripod and cable release with this camera. This camera is made of plastic, so even a mini tripod will be enough to support it. As with most Holgas, taping up all seams can help to reduce light leaks. The film plane and path should be checked for any burrs or anomalies on the plastic that might scratch your film as it travels from one side of the camera to the other. My subsequent rolls through this camera brought me great joy. The images have a dream-like, mysterious quality. As it adds practically no weight to my camera bag, I will definitely be taking it with my regular gear on my upcoming vacations to Havana and Aruba.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holga Pinholes for the win I am still a huge fan of Holga and when I see a deal on a Holga I want to add them to my collection. This 120PC -3D is no exception. It is simple to use with a tripod and cable release (not included). I will mostly use mine as a single frame exposure instead of 3D, but that is easy to do only moving the film one frame at a time. The possibilities are yours to decide.
