The Arecont Vision AV2815 MegaVideo 1080p IP Camera (Color), with 2.07 MP CMOS image sensor delivers clear images. With the capability of sustaining over 80 billion operations per second, the IP camera can maintain full motion progressive scan 1920 x 1080 video at 24 fps to deliver high-quality images. The H.264 (MPEG 4, Part 10) compression standard compatibility allows the unit to provide bandwidth and storage efficiency 10 times more than average MJPEG standards.
A minimum illumination of 0.1 lux at f/1.4 makes the MegaDome camera suitable for low-light conditions. Additionally, MoonLight mode can be activated in low light areas to capture more light. The multi-streaming feature enables you to stream up to 8 concurrent non-identical streams with different frame-rates, bit-rates, resolutions, and picture quality.
With the forensic zooming feature, the camera can be a replacement for other PTZ devices and also allows you to zoom either live recordings or 'after event' video when recording the full field-of-view in HD. This is useful when CCTV video footage needs to be previewed and analyzed in criminal and other legal cases.
Motion detection triggers an alarm when motion is detected in a designated portion of the video display. The on-camera motion detection feature consists of 1024 detection zones. Automatic gain control adjusts the signal strength to maintain constant brightness level and backlight compensation adjusts video gain to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light. With the auto multi-matrix white balance feature, the IP Camera takes a standard white color reference to adjust the RGB (red, green, and blue) colors to produce good quality images in different light conditions.
Power is supplied to the camera through PoE; hence the camera gets power from the network itself without any extra wiring for auxiliary power outlets. Privacy mask function will hide some portions in the field-of-view for security.
The programmable shutter speed helps you control motion blur, resulting in crisp and clear images. A recording ability at 1/4 resolution helps the camera save bandwidth and storage space.
