Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sony Strobists Check This Out I actually also own the Sony FA-HS1AM Hot Shoe Adapter, which works well and has voltage protection allowing users to work with older studio powerpacks. However, it was blocking the battery door to my Bowens Pulsar Transceiver. Consequently, every time I needed to change batteries on a shoot, I'd have to unscrew the Transceiver from the Sony adapter. It became a real headache, so I decided to give this cheap, 3rd-party adapter a chance, and I absolutely love it so far. It's worked without failure over the past month and I highly recommend to any photographers using the Sony (Alpha) Camera System who are moving into studio lighting. Remember, however, there is no voltage protection make sure your studio lights are safe for modern DSLR cameras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This One Works! I use both Morris and Promaster radio flash triggers with Sony A900 and A700 cameras. Unfortunately, many so-called Sony/Standard hot-shoe adapters (including the very expensive Sony FAHS1AM)will not fire the triggers. I have been using my original Minolta FS1100 adapter successfully for a long time, and this one works just as well. Beware other adapters that LOOK similar.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lets me use an flash I have I just bought a new camera and 2 lens in addition to the kit lens. Not much money left for a new flash so I bought this adapter to let me use an older minolta flash. I do have to take a few test shots since TTL does not work but this is not a deal breaker. I knew that before buying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but a bit loose It allowed me to use an older Sunpak on an Alpha A230. The connection to the flash is solid, but the camera side isn't the tightest fit. If it were metal instead of plastic I'm sure it would be sturdier but overall it's a good buy, as long as you're careful.
