XL-CAM Camera Mount Bracket for MixPre-D is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works... The fact that it mounts well with my Zoom H5 is the most important factor regarding my rating. A few problems arise however. The Zoom isn't fully secured there's about 1 to 1.5 inches of sliding play between the ZooM H5 and the SD MixPre D. Another thing, this is a very simple mount bracket and it's worth the asking price. In other words it's a bit pricey for a hunk of metal. I'd give it an extra star if it was a little cheaper. Other than the cons, I'm happy there is a tool to mount the H5 to the MixPre D. It makes life a little easier if you're constantly mobile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An invaluable accessory I use this bracket to connect my MixPre-D and Marantz PMD661 recorder; I carry the combo on a shoulder strap. Incidentally, this, without a doubt, is the ultimate field recording setup. Absolutely pristine; studio-quality audio on the road.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inelegant, expensive, awkward. Can't help thinking a better design would be possible, over-engineered (built like a tank) and costs a lot. OK it performs as it claims, but awkward to get at knurled lock wheel if you have larger hands..if you are handy and have the time you could probably rig up something more satisfying and effective. I like the Juiced Link system of a captive bolt.much neater.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy tool This is a handy device but over priced. Works well to attach the mix pre d to the camera. I also have been attaching the zoom to the top as well. Tried attaching some friction arms and it tore up the rubber bumper :-/ doesn't affect usability (yet) but looks awful. For the price they could have included some extra camera bumpers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great bracket for Mix-Pre-D owners If you on the mix Pre-D and are a DSLR video shooter then this bracket is a necessity. allows you to fit the Mix Pre-D under your DSLR for a compact unit. It's major drawback (why I didn't give it 5 stars) is that unit is expensive and other competitive products include the bracket with their unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expensive but high quality It does the job as described, but the price is not justified. Good solution if you don't have the time/skills to build your own mounting bracket from hardware store parts. In any case, I use it to attach my Tascam DR-100 field recorder to the MixPre-D for portable field recordings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tool. I use this adapter to screw my Sony PCM-D1 digital recorder and Canon XA-10 camcorder onto the MixPre-D field mixer. Screws on very smoothly. Extremely convenient to have my equipment linked to the Mix-Pre D. This adapter unites the Mix Pre-D to whatever camcorder/camera/digital-recorder to form a single unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from seems overpriced but adds valuable functionality I would give this 5 stars if it were less than $50 - seems overpriced for what it is. It does a fine job of supporting a 5dmkIII w/24-70 lens - I probably wouldn't push it much past that.
