Vello's Universal Hot Shoe Adapter for PC Connection allows you to add a PC connection to any camera that does not come with a built-in PC sync connection (excluding newer Sony cameras with Multi Interface Shoe, or older cameras with Sony/Minolta type shoe). This adapter fits into any standard hot shoe and adds a PC sync connection to your camera, allowing you to connect to a studio flash using the PC connection.

Note: This adapter does not provide high-voltage sync protection, and is not recommended for use with flash units that have a trigger voltage of more than 6V.

Universal Hot Shoe Adapter for PC Connection is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does it's job sufficiently After dealing with an optical sync that would not sync with my shutter consistently, I decided to get this little hot shoe adapter so I could sync with a cord. The shutter sync is flawless once I figured out the correct sync speed and flashes my strobes as designed. The only deal I have with it is that my camera (Canon EOS Xsi) does not recognize it as a controllable flash unit, so I can't customize the sync settings. This is probably due to the fact that the product is a universal adapter and not a Canon-specific adapter. This isn't a real deal breaker for me, as the 1/250 max shutter speed is sufficient for the product photos I take.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Eh.. The Nikon hot shoe adapter worked inconsistently with my D750. Swapped it for this and it won't fire my Photogenic StudioMaxIII at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was about to throw out a good flash. Swithing from film to dslr left me with flashes with pc cords. I FELT HELPLESS UNTIL I WENT BROWSING ON the B and H website. iT WAS A GREAT FIND. WORKED OUT VERY WELL. 100% SATIFIED. (SMILE)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seems to work fine I've used this to use studio strobes on my Canon DSLR and old manual film cameras. Seems to work fine, but has torn off the sleeve on a PC cord. I don't need to reduce the voltages to safely use with my DSLR (my strobes are around 15V, and my camera supports up to 250V), but your digital equipment might need another adapter that can do this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little unit I bought this because my camera (Canon T3) doesn't have a place to plug in a sync cord for my portrait lights and using a battery flash to trigger the portrait lights didn't always work and ate up a lot of batteries. Thought I would see if this worked, the price was right and I am completely satisfied...well worth the little money I spent

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cannon: Good..........Nikon: Not Good Two Issues: First: Saw a previous reviewer pointed out issue with Nikon D750- just would not slip all they way onto camera hot shoe. Can't figure out why. Works fine with Cannon. Second: After 8 months, finding sync cord won't stay tight in port so have had to set up velcro rig job to keep it in.
