Carson MiniMight Reviews

For that price, good optics.

For the price, the optical quality is good. I also have the similarly priced Celestron 10x monocular, which isn't bad, but this 6x monocular is much easier to use when following a moving animal and it has a much wider field of view. Unless you really need the higher power, consider this one instead of the 10x. Discard that useless little carabiner and replace it with a wrist loop.

very well done design philosophy and execution

Binoculars are typically what people think of using for bird watching, etc. They can be very good at this BUT they inherently have a potential major flaw. It is very easy for each tube in a binocular to be pointing in slightly different directions. Your brain can accommodate this problem but it may give you headaches. Monocular design eliminates this problem. I bought this for two of my grandchildren. They love them.
