Heliopan Variable ND Filter (72mm, 1 to 6-Stop)

The 1 to 6-stop, 72mm Heliopan Variable ND Filter is a solid variable neutral density filter providing a reduction of 1 to 6-stops. The 0.3 to 1.8 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed without overexposing your image. By slowing your exposure time, you can create motion blur for special effects or to convey a sense of movement. Opening your iris allows you to create shallow depth of field, which can help isolate your subject. The degree of density is easily controlled by rotating the front filter ring, allowing you to previsualize the additional exposure length required. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image.
